1. The National Forestry Authority, therefore invites bids for licenses for the following;

A. Harvesting Round Wood in Mafuga, Kirima and Muko Forest Reserves in Kabale District.
B. Harvesting Utility Poles in Mwenge Plantations in Kyenjojo District.

2. This process will be conducted in accordance with the National Forestry and Tree Planting Act 2003, the Forest Rules S.I 246-2, The National Environment Act Cap 153 and Regulations there under and any other conditions that will be issued by the Licensor during the process and execution of any resulting license and is open to all eligible bidders.
3. Interested bidders may inspect the bidding document and obtain further information from the address given below at 7(a)

4. A complete set of bidding Documents in English may be purchased by interested bidders upon payment of a non refundable fee of UGX 100,000 (Uganda shillings One hundred thousand only), in cash, payable at NFA cash office at the address below 7(b). Where a receipt will be issued.

5. Sealed Bids accompanied with a bid security of UGX 3,000,000 (Uganda shillings Three Million only) addressed to (8) below, with reference number indicated on the envelope, must be delivered at or before 2:30 pm on Tuesday 11th December 2012. Late bids shall be rejected.

6. Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders/ representatives who choose to attend at the address below; (8) at 2:45pm on Tuesday 11th December 2012. NFA is not bound to accept the lowest/highest bid.
