This adorable tropical rain forest is situated in Hoima District Western Uganda gifted with a very eye-catching Mountain called Buhingi, that has an elevation of 1130meters (3707) feet with a prominence of 60meters (197) feet, Latitude of 1 degree 31’26 while the Longitude is 31 degree 11’50.21.

Bujawe Central Forest Reserve covers an area of 50 kilometers squared with the size of the forest that is 31kilometers squared with the elevation of 1079 meters above the sea level.

This forest reserve is being managed by the National Forestry Authority (NFA) it has imposed measures till date on how to improve the standards of the forest by developing its eco-tourism. This has been possible through a number of strategies, such as carrying out bio diversity inventories, afforestation and demarcating the boundaries.

Bujawe Central Forest Reserve is next to some areas that are highly populated these include Nyabikukuru, kiboirya and Bukerenge neighboring villages are Gamugole, Bukerenge, Nyakabingo, Karanwang to mention but are few.
