Arrival by Air
Uganda’s main international gateway is the Entebbe International Airport. It is located some 40km south of Kampala, in the lakeside town of Entebbe. Its setting makes a spectacular entry to the country with an approach over Lake Victoria. A number of International carriers operate regular flights to and from Entebbe. These include: Uganda Airlines (The Flag Carrier), Alliance Airways (International Carrier), Air Burundi, Air France, Air India, Air Tanzania, British Airways, Egypt Air, Emirates, Ethiopian Airways, Gulf Air, Inter Air, Kenya Airways, Sabena and Tropical Airways .
There are international and standard hotels in both Entebbe and Kampala. Taxis are available at the airport, if you are not being met by a hotel shuttle, a local tour operator or friends.
Arrival by Road
The main road border crossings are open at Malaba, Busia, Mutukula, Kisoro, Arua and Lwakhakha. Drivers require a valid international driving license, and must carry their vehicle log books. Drivers will be expected to show adequate third party insurance, and pay a temporary road license
Arrival by Water
Weekly services to Port Bell from Mwanza in Tanzania are normally provided by Tanzania Railways Corporation in conjunction with Uganda Railways Corporation. This service resumed from February 1999.
The MV Victoria operates on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday between Mwanza, Bukoba and Por Bell. It leaves Mwanza on Sunday at 14.00hrs and arrives at Port Bell at 07.00hrs the departs at 16.00hrs same day.

Sabena flies two times a week from Brussels direct to Entebbe.
British Airways flies three times a week from London, Gatwick.
Alliance Air flies twice a week direct from London, Heathrow
Air France flies twice a week direct from Paris.
From other parts of Africa:
Uganda Airlines flies daily from Nairobi.
Kenya Airways flies daily from Nairobi.
Uganda Airlines provides connections from Dar-es-Salam, Kigali Bujumbura, Harare and Gaborone.
Alliance Air provides connections with Dar-es- Salam and Johannesburg.
Royal Air Swazi provides connections with Manzini, and South Africa.
Inter Air links Uganda with Ndola, Zambia, and Johansburg.
Egypt flies weekly from Cairo.
Ethiopian airways provides connections from Addis Ababa.
Air Tanzania provides connections from Dar-es-salam
Air Rwanda flies from Kigali to the Middle East:
Alliance Airlines provides connections from Dubai.
Gulf Air flies twice a week from Dubai.
